School renovation – Egge Skole in Lier, Norway

As part of a larger renovation and new construction project, the old school, one of four school buildings, is to undergo environmental remediation and rehabilitation.

Classified as culturally significant

Egge Skole currently consists of four school buildings, including the old school built in 1921. The exterior facade of the old school is classified as culturally significant.

After the environmental remediation of the old school, it will be rehabilitated and connected to a new extension.

In total, the new school will have an area of approximately 2240 m2 (excluding the gymnasium), with approximately 640 m2 allocated to the old school and about 1570 m2 to the new extension.

The construction time is very short, which presupposes predictability in all phases.

To ensure safe and efficient transportation of materials, it was decided to use Liftroller.

Our experience is that Liftroller works very well when it is challenging to install scaffolding

or adapt to new openings in the façade.
