The Liftroller system comprises a range of products developed to solve logistical challenges on building sites. The system is used on building projects for faster, easier and safer transportation of materials into buildings. The Liftroller system is equipped with rollers for increased efficiency and safety as well as minimal strain on the workers.

The Liftroller system comprises portable components which are assembled to form a conveyor belt with rollers from the outside to the inside of the building. We have also developed a range of accessories to ease onward transportation of the materials inside the building.

To maximise the benefits of the Liftroller system, it can be used to transport materials and equipment into the building and to remove waste from the building.

The Liftroller loading platform is a mechanical device without electric motors, control panels or other contraptions that can snag or break.

Faster unloading

Working with our customers, we have compared the Liftroller to other methods used in the construction industry to transport materials. The Liftroller is the most effective way of getting large volumes of materials into buildings with multiple storeys. The materials usually arrive by crane lorry in any case, so instead of temporarily storing them on the ground or hoisting them onto a goods trolley, it is much quicker to move the materials directly from the back of the lorry straight through a window on the destination floor. The Liftroller can also be used to remove big bags of waste.

Less waiting

When using an outside construction lift you often have to wait your turn until the lift is free. That takes up unnecessary time. With the Liftroller the delivery will arrive on the designated floor in minutes, and those using the lift are not affected by the delivery – and vice versa.

Fewer workers needed to do the job

With the Liftroller two workers can unload a lorry in no time. Once the pack of materials lands on the rollers a minimum of effort is required to move the materials into the building. There is no need to waste energy on steep ramps or splitting up packs of plasterboard before carrying individual sheets into the building. It saves time, especially when compared with putting all hands on deck just to move the materials. The use of a construction lift requires at least three people to push the goods trolley up steep ramps. With the Liftroller, steep ramps are a thing of the past.

Save time and money by not having to apply to use the pavement

In narrow city streets you often have to apply and pay to use the pavement for an outside construction lift, rigging and interim storage of materials and waste. The Liftroller does not require an application. The crane lorry can easily hoist all the materials quickly and safely through a window. It can also hoist any waste out of the building and take it to a disposal centre.

No need for temporary accessway

With the Liftroller you simply use existing openings in the façade. On renovation projects you do not have to cut large openings or expand window apertures to get materials on site. Rebuilding walls is costly, and building control will often want to have a say.

On newbuilds you can roll materials and equipment into the building at an early stage by using the Liftroller Floor. The lifting platform does not have to be fitted to a wall as it is secured against the floor and ceiling. You can also complete the façade and use one of the planned windows instead of leaving temporary accessways open till the last minute.

Cuts rigging costs

In some cases a combination of an outside construction lift and the Liftroller is the optimal solution. However, the Liftroller can replace the lift entirely in many cases, saving considerable sums. Rigging costs can be significant due to the amount of equipment involved from ground level to the top floor.

Lightweight, easy to assemble

The Liftroller is made from aluminium and is therefore both sturdy and light. It comprises 10 components which on their own are easy to carry to the floor where they will be used. Assembly takes less than half an hour. In fact, it is so simple that you do not have to hire an external installer. Our customers tell us that it takes them as little as 10 minutes to put it together after a bit of practice.

Flexible – can be used in many different types of buildings

The system is adjustable in terms of wall thickness, ceiling height and window width. It can therefore be adapted for use in different buildings. Got an unusual building? We probably have a solution for that, too, so just get in touch!

Materials can be delivered the day they will be used

It has been common, especially on newbuilds, to deliver as many of the materials as possible before sealing the external walls. This has several disadvantages. Firstly, you have to pay for the materials in advance, thereby tying up capital. Secondly, it means you will be cramped for space inside, making it an inefficient building site. Thirdly, it takes both time and money to keep moving materials that are in the way, and there is a high risk of damage and injury to the materials, personnel and building.

Workers on building sites with inadequate ergonomic design solutions often suffer physical strain when moving materials into buildings. Materials and equipment have to be carried up the floors or pushed onto lift ramps. Bad posture and improvised solutions can result in strain injury, sickness absence and, in the worst case scenario, a serious accident. The Liftroller system allows the transportation to take place safely, and you will see a noticeable reduction in heavy lifting and hazardous situations.

Improvised methods for moving materials are common in our industry, sadly. Falling objects from batches that have been loosely lashed in order to be pulled through a window are a recurring problem. With the Liftroller you can hoist in the entire batch without splitting it up, thus eliminating the risk. The Liftroller is a tried, tested and approved solution that works every time.

Liftroller Wall is a mobile lifting platform with rollers which can be placed in apertures in the building to form a conveyor belt for transporting materials into and out of the respective floors.
